To the right is a picture of a completed rain garden. The ReStore rain garden will be much larger (20' x 40') and will be able to handle run off water from the entire parking lot. Michael Baker Jr., Inc. has performed engineering services for the project and is currently finalizing the working drawings.
Thanks to a grant from the WV DEP and a donation from WV Paving, the Habitat ReStore is installing a rain garden to filter the polluted run off water from our soon to be expanded parking lot. To the left is a diagram of a rain garden that shows the layers that help it to work.
